Jesus still in the hunt at WPT Poker LA Classic
Chris “Jesus” Ferguson goes into the final day of the WPT LA Classic in healthy shape, if not as chip leader.
Ferguson, chasing his first WPT title, was sitting pretty at the end of Day 4 but after receiving a couple of hits, saw him sitting at the final table with the short stack. Chris Karagulleyan is the chip leader with just over 4 million chips.
Bubble boy Blake Cahail had gone in 7th place after moving all-in over the top of Karagulleyan’s re-raise. Cahail showed a confident A-K only for Karagulleyan to flip pocket kings. The board came Q-5-4-6-J, sending the unlucky Cahail to the rail. He picked up a respectable $180,403 for his bubble place, however.
The players return to the table today, with the payouts as follows:
1. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson - 1,565,000

4. Chris Karagulleyan - 4,080,000
