Peter “Zupp” Jepsen Signs To Betfair Poker
As if proof were needed that the online animals are being taken seriously by the poker world, it came yesterday when Danish pro, Peter “Zupp” Jepsen, signed to Betfair Poker.
One of Europe’s most highly sought after players, Ladbrokes Poker had previously laid claim to Jepsen but it’s the WSOPE sponsors who’ve nailed the nosebleed stakes lad. Jepsen joins an exciting line-up of pros at the Betfair stable, including Annette Obrestad, Sorel Mizzi, and John Tabatabai. Most well-known to poker aficionados for his online tussles with Tom “Durrrr” Dwan, Jepsen made a name for himself when he took down a $499,000 pot against the young American.
"I am looking forward to starting my sponsorship with Betfair Poker," Jepsen said. "They have been really welcoming, and I already feel part of the team. It's given me new impetus to go out and get a big win under my belt."
The Danish pro has indicated he’ll be using his sponsorship to good effect, entering some major tournaments over the next year. He already has an EPT title under his belt, winning the EPT Warsaw in 2007.
