Sky Bingo Gets Interactive
Bingo is now not just for online gambling or punters that frequent bingo halls, Sky TV has just announced the launch of a new interactive bingo game that will allow users to play the bingo games they enjoy while watching TV at the same time.
The news is sure to be welcomed as a boost to UK bingo, because it means players can keep playing even if they don’t feel like sitting in front of their PC.
Edward Moss, market director for Sky, said: “Bingo continues to grow in popularity in the UK and we are thrilled to be the first to bring bingo to TV audiences. Sky Bingo is a revolutionary and innovative new format for a traditional and popular game that has fans across the country.”
Selected games are free to play every Monday and Thursday, with jackpots starting at £10,000. And the actual process of playing on TV couldn’t be simpler. Users just press their red button on the remote and select ‘Play Sky Bingo’.
The player can tailor the interface for their own preferences too, including the ability to play Sky Bingo on two different minimised views. One shows just the player’s leading tickets and the ball calls, while the other only shows each tickets remaining numbers. This means that players will be able to continue watching TV without much of the screen being taken up by their game.
