Online Gambling site applies for Guinness World Record
To celebrate a new series of Tuesday and Friday freeroll tournaments, online gambling site, BackgammonMasters has applied for a Guinness Gamer World Record. The record the site wants to achieve is the farthest backgammon dice toss, by throwing dice from a helicopter.
Two backgammon dice will be tossed from a helicopter flying 200-300 feet in the air onto a giant, one-acre backgammon board-shaped field during a huge (meaning size of board and dice) tournament. This novel approach brings a bit of fun and silliness to the very old game of backgammon.
Two world famous backgammon champions, who will communicate with walkie-talkies, will play the giant tournament. They will throw the dice from the air, whilst staff on the ground will move the checkers, which are three feet in diameter. The dice are custom made from inflatable material to survive the throw and are valued at €1,000 each. They will go to the winner.
Quentin Smith, a famous expedition pilot, who has crossed deserts and reached the arctic will provide his expertise regarding the best locations, regulations and helicopter safety measures for such an event.
BackgammonMasters will donate all proceeds from tickets sales to the events to charity. The invitation to Guinness Book of World Records will draw some interest and provide an ideal opportunity for the site to promote the new weekly freeroll tournaments.
BackgammonMasters is a popular site catering mainly for the online backgammon community, as well as providing Poker and 21 Blackjack games in an All-in-One Game Lobby with Live Customer Support.
