Online gambling site begins WSOP satellites
Online gambling site, Pokerstars has joined the journey to the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event, with a series of satellites and qualifiers. There are several ways that players can qualify, such as buy-in directly to any of the cash qualifiers, Frequent Player Points in the FPP qualifiers, Sit & Go Satellites, and/or sign up for Pokerstars to start playing in WSOP satellites.
Pokerstars are spoiling the potential winners with a raft of additions for those who win a WSOP seat, a package worth over $12,000. Some of that will include:
Eight nights at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas from July 2nd - July 9th. Any players still in the Main Event beyond the 9th, will continue to have their accommodation paid for by PokerStars; An additional $2,000 in cash, to spend as they like; and of course a $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat.
With the size of the WSOP tournament, this promotion will help increase the traffic to Pokerstars, which is already at record highs.
Pokerstars is a popular online gaming site, which uses a unique grading system of six levels that players can achieve. The first four levels: Bronze (attained when signing up to the site), Silver, Gold, and Platinum, which are achieved by collecting VIP points. The next two levels test the performance records of players, SuperNova and SuperNova Elite come with benefits and bonuses.
SuperNova Elite is very difficult to achieve. A player needs to earn 1 million VIP player points in a calendar year to qualify. The place isn’t stable either as the player needs to maintain the level of points to avoid falling back down.
