27/8/2007
Online sports gambling site, FantasySportsBook.com has launched their fully legal, public league and commissioner based, Fantasy-based Sportsbook contest website. Players will be able to sign on and play for free using the same format found in the Las Vegas casino sportsbooks. This user-friendly website offers its members authentic odds, match-ups, and favourites, underdogs, over, and under total scores.

“FantasySportsBook.com provides everyone, from the casual sports fan to the fantasy sports enthusiast, the ability to compete against each other in a fair, legal, and free environment, with the opportunity to win exciting prizes,” said Director of Operations and Founder, Eddie Murphy.

A leaderboard keeps track of all the picks and balances and there are cash prizes to players with the highest winning balance on a weekly basis. The prizes include trips to championship game for each sport including NFL, NCAAF, NBA, NCAAB, and NHL, 65-inch Big Screen TV, and XBOX game consoles. The company also is planning on adding more sports in the future and spreading the format in overseas markets.

FantasySportsBook.com has also launched a commissioner-based sportsbook, which works like the traditional fantasy format where a commissioner subscribes, sets the rules (including fictional bankroll and betting requirements), then invites their friends to compete.

“Our Commissioner Fantasy Sportsbook offers a truly unique experience for those players who want to compete in an environment where they don't risk any real money, while getting the real Las Vegas sportsbook experience. Players can even place parlays and teasers, using flexible bet amounts,” said Murphy.
