MLS Betting: Derby Weekend Previews

La Galaxy vs. LAFC

El Clasico may only be in October – but there is an El Trafico this weekend.

Indeed, Los Angeles FC facing Los Angeles Galaxy will create traffic jams around the city on Friday night, and the odds on offer make this derby the perfect choice for bettors looking at the MLS.

Galaxy sits fifth in the Western Conference and is 29/20 with Bet365 to triumph. LAFC, third in the table, is 6/4 with Ladbrokes to beat the injury-ravaged host.

With William Hill offering the draw at 3/1, there is value in all three win-lose-draw selections.

Understandably, William Hill sees goals in this one, with odds of 4/9 for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. A 2-2 draw and 4-3 Galaxy win earlier this season – both seeing late comebacks –explain why.

Bettors looking at the goalscorer anytime market can find Zlatan Ibrahimovic at 4/6 with William Hill, while Ola Kamara is 13/10 to score his second against LAFC this season.

At the opposite end, LAFC’s top scorer Adama Diomande is 23/20 and Carlos Vela is 29/10 – the Mexican has already netted three times against Galaxy.

Toronto FC vs. Montreal Impact

Home advantage is Toronto FC’s biggest trump card against the Montreal Impact in Saturday night’s 401 Derby.

Toronto lies three places below Montreal in the Eastern Conference, but is a best price of 4/7 with BoyleSports to take three points this weekend. Montreal is as high as 4/1 with William Hill, and the draw is priced at 17/5 by the same bookmaker.

William Hill fancies goals here too, with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals odds being 17/20, while Sebastian Giovinco is 10/11 to score for Toronto (Jonathan Osorio and Victor Vazquez closely follow at 5/4).

Montreal top scorer Ignacio Piatti is 13/10 and Jeisson Vargas, who grabbed the winner in the reverse fixture, is 17/5.
