BetVictor launch new TV ads

Online bookmakers BetVictor have unveiled a new TV advertising campaign.

The betting firm have spent over £500,000 on the series of three adverts, ‘Train’, ‘Pogo’ and ‘Baggage’, which will launch on 9 August on BT Sport and Sky.

Each ad sees hopeful punter Maurice, played by actor Paul Kaye, put himself in dangerous situations in an attempt to get the biggest odds from BetVictor chairman Victor Chandler, even though the best prices are already guaranteed on the firm’s website.

The ‘pogo’ ad is also set to appear throughout the upcoming football season as an in-play commercial on BT Sport – a new element of BetVictor’s advertising strategy.

BetVictor marketing director Karl Riley said: “The first advert will consist of Maurice parachuting from a plane to land on a moving train, luckily he lands next to the window Victor happens to be looking out of!

“The interaction between the two is a simple message from Victor of ‘why don’t you just go to our website to check the latest odds?’ The ending however is something we cannot disclose so you’ll have to wait and see.”
