Hills unveil Flintoff ahead of Ashes
William Hill have signed cricket legend Andrew Flintoff as a sporting ambassador.
The popular ex-player, commonly known as Freddie, will offer cricket tips via the betting firm’s podcast service, help promote Hills products, and engage in a series of other as yet unconfirmed activities.
The former BBC Sports Personality of the Year joins existing William Hill sporting ambassadors Robbie Savage and Tony McCoy in time for this summer’s Ashes series, which begins on 10 July.
Flintoff said: “I am chuffed to bits that I’ll be working with such an iconic British sporting brand – the people have been so welcoming and are clearly just as sports-daft as I am, so bring it on!”
William Hill CMO Kristof Fahy added: “Make no mistake, Freddie is an English icon who transcends the sport of cricket. When he talks, people listen. He is opinionated, deeply passionate about the game and instantly recognisable.”
