Champions League preview: Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund
Real Madrid host Borussia Dortmund tonight knowing that they need to score at least three goals to reach this season’s Champions League final.
The European heavyweights meet in the second leg of their semi-final tonight, with the German side holding a 4-1 lead from the initial encounter last week.
That result means that Real need a minimum of three goals to progress, with a 3-0 victory enough to see them through on away goals.
However if Dortmund score tonight then the Spaniards will require a minimum of four goals to stay in the tie, and even a quartet of strikes will only be enough to force extra time.
Online bookmakers Titan Bet make Real 1.53 favourites to win on the night, with Dortmund available at 5.85. The draw is priced at 5.10.
Bwin offer Dortmund as 1.21 favourites to progress across the two legs, while Real can be backed at odds of 4.10 to reach the final.
The winners of the tie will face either Barcelona or Bayern Munich in the showpiece final, with the German side holding a 4-0 lead from the first leg.
