Americans In Favour Of Online Casinos Legalisation.
Readers of Scooop.net, a next-generation media site, have voted in favour of US-based casinos being granted the right to operate online casino gaming web sites, with a two-thirds majority believing that online casinos should be legalised.
Scooop.net conducted this study as to gauge the level of support of Americans for the radical changing of current federal and state laws concerning online casino gaming laws.
Voters noted also that they would feel safer using a US-based casino. Nearly two thirds of those Americans surveyed said that they would feel more comfortable playing with a US-based online casino due to it being regulated by US authorities.
If the US government was to heed these calls to legalise online gambling, they could expect a substantial financial windfall. That is, with the online gaming industry recently surpassing $10bn in worldwide revenues, it is estimated that the US government could have collected as much as $1.8bn in tax revenues from online gaming by Americans alone.
