Jake Cody becomes Team PokerStars pro
Jake Cody has joined online poker room PokerStars as a sponsored pro.
The young Brit was unveiled as the newest member of Team PokerStars by fellow member Daniel Negreanu just before the start of Day 1B at the PCA Main Event in the Bahamas.
Former PKR man Cody is one of only a handful of players to have completed poker’s much-feted triple crown by winning EPT, WPT and WSOP titles.
The Rochdale native won EPT Deauville in January 2010, WPT London in August of the same year and the $25,000 WSOP Heads-Up Championship in May 2011.
Unveiling Cody as a Team PokerStars pro, Negreanu said: “PokerStars always looks for young up-and-coming ambassadors for the game and I feel like we've found a gem.
“The youngest ever winner of the Triple Crown. He's won a WPT, a World Series of Poker bracelet and more importantly an EPT. He combines poker skill with a gentlemanly demeanour as is expected in a PokerStars Team Pro.”
