UK player claims £37m Euromillions jackpot
The UK winner of a £37m Euromillions jackpot has come forward to collect their prize.
Lottery operators Camelot confirmed the lucky ticket holder has claimed the cash, although it is not yet clear whether or not they will be keeping their identity secret. The payout is the UK’s 14th-biggest jackpot ever and represents the eighth major Euromillions win for a UK player in 2012.
The winning numbers for the 7 September draw were 13, 15, 30, 35 and 42, with Lucky Stars of 4 and 6.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “This is amazing – just a month after Adrian and Gillian Bayford scooped £148m, we have another UK ticket holder banking the jackpot.
“It’s been an extraordinary year for UK ticket holders.” The current estimated jackpot for the next Euromillions draw on Tuesday 11 September is £11m.
Nine countries participate in the Euromillions, with Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland joining the United Kingdom on the list.
