Euro 2012 betting preview: Spain v Italy
Spain and Italy will contest the Euro 2012 final on Sunday after coming through their respective semi-finals in rather different circumstances.
The Spanish were unconvincing in drawing 0-0 with Iberian neighbours Portugal after extra-time, eventually advancing courtesy of a penalty shootout success, while the Italians were more commanding in registering a surprise 2-1 victory against an under-par Germany side.
The sides had previously met in the opening match of Group C, with the Spanish coming from behind to secure a 1-1 draw in an engaging encounter.
Online betting exchange Betfair have Spain as 6/5 favourites for the match, with Italy available at 3/1. The draw is priced at 9/4.
Spain winger Santi Cazorla is 5/1 favourite to score the first goal, ahead of Italy striker Fabio Borini at 6/1. Spanish forwards Fernando Torres, Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Negredo are all available at 15/2.
The match kicks off at 7:45pm on Sunday.
