Euro 2012 betting preview: Germany v Italy
Germany face Italy tonight in the second Euro 2012 semi-final.
The footballing heavyweights are competing for the right to face Spain in the final after the reigning world and European champions defeated Iberian neighbours Portugal on penalties last night.
Germany have looked impressive throughout the tournament as the only side to win all of their games so far, while the Italians have looked accomplished in reaching the last four, a spot that was sealed courtesy of a shootout success over England at the weekend.
Online exchange Betfair have Germany as 10/11 favourites for the match, with Italy available at 4/1. The draw is priced at 5/2.
Germany striker Mario Gomez is 11/2 favourite to score the first goal, followed by teammates Miroslav Klose at 13/2 and Lukas Podolski at 9/1.
Having already qualified for the final, Spain are currently 10/11 favourites to win Euro 2012, ahead of Germany at 9/5 and Italy at 7/1.
