Euro 2012 betting update: Germany favourites for tournament glory
Germany are narrow favourites to win Euro 2012 following the completion of the tournament’s group stage.
As the only side in the competition to take maximum points from their group, and with arguably the easiest quarter-final draw, the Germans are leading the outright winners market at a best available price of 9/4, according to odds comparison website Oddschecker.
Reigning World and European champions Spain are second favourites to win the tournament at a best price of 5/2, having come through Group C with two wins and a draw to book a last eight tie with France.
15/2 shots Portugal come next in the betting having recovered from defeat in their opening game to finish second Group B, while quarter-final opponents England and Italy are both available at 9/1 to go all the way to glory.
The remaining sides in the competition are all offered at double figure prices, with France offered at best odds of 12/1, ahead of the Czech Republic at 50/1 and Greece at 66/1.
