Villas-Boas favourite for Liverpool job
Andre Villas-Boas is favourite to become the next Liverpool manager following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish on Wednesday.
The former Chelsea boss is offered at a best price of 5/2 to succeed the legendary Scot, according to odds comparison website Oddschecker.
Dalglish left his position following a poor campaign that saw the Reds finish eighth in the league, their lowest position for 18 years, with a Carling Cup triumph and an FA Cup final appearance not enough to save his job.
Villas-Boas left Chelsea back in March following a stuttering first spell in English football, although the Portuguese enjoyed a much more successful time at previous club Porto where he most notably won the Europa League.
Next in the betting is Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, available at a best price of 11/2, with the Spaniard having earned plaudits for his masterminding of the Latic’s successful battle against Premier League relegation last term.
