Man City favourites to retain Premier League title
Manchester City are favourites to win the 2012/13 Premier League having clinched their first top flight title for 44 years on Sunday.
Roberto Mancini’s men defeated QPR in extraordinary circumstances to top the table on goal difference, and are currently offered at a best price of 6/4 to retain their crown next term, according to odds comparison website Oddschecker.
This year’s runners-up Manchester United are unsurprisingly second in the betting, available at a best price of 11/4. Despite missing out on a top four sport this time round Chelsea are third favourites for the title at 5/1, ahead of North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham at 12/1 and 28/1 respectively.
Liverpool are offered at 50/1 to secure their first championship of the Premier League era in 2012/13, with Newcastle some way behind at 150/1.
The last of the three-figure runners are Everton, with David Moyes’ side available at 300/1 to claim an unlikely top flight triumph.
