Redknapp remains England favourite despite Spurs slump
Harry Redknapp is still the favourite to become the next England manager despite his Tottenham side’s stuttering form in recent months.
Since the resignation of previous England boss Fabio Capello on 8 February, Redknapp’s Spurs have won four, drawn four and lost six of 14 league and cup fixtures, including a 1-0 defeat away to QPR on Sunday. Two of those wins have come in the FA Cup, meaning that the White Hart Lane side have taken just nine points from a possible thirty in the Premier League since Capello’s departure from England.
Former Portsmouth boss Redknapp remains favourite for the national job however, with the 65-year-old offered at a best price of 8/15 according to odds comparison website Oddschecker.
Next in the betting comes West Brom manager Roy Hodgson – whose side claimed a surprise away win at Liverpool on Sunday – at a best price of 13/2.
Third favourite is current England under-21 boss Stuart Pearce at a best price of 10/1.
