Premier League betting preview: Blackburn v Liverpool
Blackburn Rovers will be looking to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone when they face Liverpool at Ewood Park tonight.
Rovers will leapfrog QPR into 17th place if they claim a point from tonight’s fixture, while a win would see Steve Kean’s men displace Bolton in 16th.
Liverpool meanwhile need a result to halt an alarming slide which has seen the Merseysiders pick up just one point from their last four games, slipping to eighth in the table in the process.
Blackburn will be without suspended striker Anthony Modeste, while defender Martin Olsson is being assessed ahead of the match following a shoulder injury.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is still suspended, meaning Alexander Doni will continue between the sticks for the Reds, while defender Daniel Agger could start having returned from injury in a substitute appearance at the weekend.
Bet365 make Liverpool 11/10 favourites for the match, with Blackburn offered at 12/5. The draw is available at 5/2.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is 9/2 favourite to score the first goal, followed by Rovers frontman Yakubu at 6/1. Reds winger Craig Bellamy and forward Nathan Eccleston come next in the betting at 13/2.
