National Poker League tour begins in Paris.
The National Poker League is kicking off this year’s Global Circuit Tour with The Paris Open in France on May 13th at the Cercle Gaillon located a stones throw away from the Arc de Triomphe. The NPL is to become the premier poker event in France after most of the other Poker events have announced their withdrawal from the marketplace. This NPL event has a record estimated prize pool of €3.5m.
This first step in the NPL tour for 2007 will be shown on worldwide television to an audience of over five hundred million households. The NPL Paris Open features multiple €4,000 + €200 buy-in events from May 13 - 22th culminating with the final table comprised of the previous event winners on May 22nd. The tournament series will feature €100,000 in added money, and award an estimated €3,5m in prize money. In addition to France's best, NPL is expecting a good mix of British, American, Spanish, Moroccan, Asian, and Eastern European players.
This unique poker opportunity for the players includes first class French dinners at the Queenie Club, where a Charity Party sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Dior and Patron Tequila will be held on May 21st. The players will also have access to an exclusive "players only lounge" throughout the tournament.
NPL has established a pre-registration and payment method on the NPL site nplworldpoker.com or players can register directly at Cercle Gaillon www.cerclegaillon.net. The NPL is encouraging players to sign up early due to high demand for seats. Land based satellite events are being held on a weekly basis via NPL's casino partners that include the Cercle Gaillon and Aviation Club in France, the Loose Cannon in London, Casino de Marrakech in Morocco and the Hollywood Park Casino in Los Angeles.
