Alan Curbishley leads Wolves manager betting
Alan Curbishley is the favourite to be the next Wolves manager following the sacking of Mick McCarthy on Monday.
The former Charlton and West Ham chief is 4/6 with bookmakers Bet365 to replace McCarthy, who left the club following a 5-1 home defeat to local rivals West Brom at the weekend.
Curbishley, who represented midlands sides Birmingham City and Aston Villa during his playing career, has not managed a club since leaving the Hammers in 2008.
Next in the betting comes ex-Sunderland boss Steve Bruce at 9/2. The former centre back is a free agent having left the Black Cats earlier this season and has previously managed the likes of Huddersfield, Wigan and Birmingham.
All other contenders for the role are offered at double figure prices, with former QPR manager Neil Warnock available at 14/1, just ahead of current Blackpool boss Ian Holloway at 16/1.
Wolves currently sit 18th in the Premier League, level on points with 17th-placed Blackburn and 16th-placed QPR but with an inferior goal difference to both.
