32Red trumps William Hill in legal battle
Two of the biggest names in the online casino world came head to head recently over William Hill’s old casino brand “32 Vegas”.
Last year the High Court found in favour of 32Red who disputed the trademark infringement of William Hill using the name 32Vegas for their casino brand. William Hill’s legal team immediately disputed the ruling but was yesterday dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
The court said that William Hill’s legal team made a full attack on the judge’s analysis on every aspect of his judgement.
William Hill has been ordered to pay £70,000 to 32Red within two weeks for costs associated with the appeal with the full damages compensation yet to be settled.
