New Cambodian casino on the way
A new Cambodian casino development is set for completion later this year.
Part of the $2.4 million initial phase of the “Pailin Project” – named after the Province in which it is situated – the Dreamworld Casino Pailin will boast 23 table games and 40 electronic gaming machine seats.
The new casino is being developed by electronic gaming machines providers Entertainment Gaming Asia Inc and represents one of the company’s first casino development projects as it seeks to expand its gaming operations and become a leading owner and operator of regional casinos in Indo-China. The group have confirmed the Dreamworld development is on target to be finished during the second quarter of 2012.
Entertainment Gaming Asia chairman and chief executive officer Clarence Chung said: “We are pleased with our progress to date on this exciting casino project which we believe is strategically located in the attractive and growing gaming market of Pailin at the Thailand border.
“This project is an incremental step in our casino development strategy and offers the potential for near-term earnings and long-term growth. We look forward to providing more updates throughout the development process.”
