Arsenal face Leeds in Cup third round

Arsenal host Leeds United in tonight’s sole FA Cup third round tie.

The Gunners defeated Leeds in a third round replay in last season’s competition and the winner this time will be rewarded with a home tie against Aston Villa in the fourth round.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is being rested for the match and fellow forward Gervinho is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning club legend Thierry Henry is expected to play some part in the fixture having re-signed for the club on a loan deal.

Defender Johan Djourou misses the game through suspension. Leeds could be without three defenders of their own as Patrick Kisnorbo is out injured while teammates Tom Lees and Alex Bruce are both considered doubtful.

Bet365 make Arsenal 2/7 favourites for the match, with Leeds offered at 9/1. The draw is priced at 9/2. Henry is 9/2 to open the scoring on his return to the club.
