Tribe Plans $75m expansion of Hard Rock Casino
The biggest casino in Florida is set to get even bigger since the Seminole Tribe of Florida has begun a $75 million expansion project on the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Construction is due for completion in April 2012 and will see the casino floor extend to a massive 220,000sq feet making it one of the largest in the United States. The new floor space will house an extra 750 slot machines with a total of 105 gaming tables, 12 more than it does currently.
The expansions are not only on the casino floor – with the increased space indoors more room is needed for cars outside which will see a 5 storey car park with 1,350 spaces built to handle the increase in traffic.
The expansion is good news for the local area with the Tampa Hard Rock Casino expecting to add an extra 430 jobs to their current 3,000 employees.
