Europa League betting preview: Hearts v Tottenham
Tottenham face Hearts tonight in the first leg of the Europa League qualifying round.
The Premier League side travel to Tynecastle in the midst of a central midfield injury crisis, with manager Harry Redknapp revealing that Wilson Palacios, Tom Huddlestone, Luka Modric, Jermaine Jenas and Sandro are all out of the match.
Redknapp is sure his side’s Scottish opponents will be fired up for the game and is expecting a physical contest. “They are aggressive and they are going to get after us,” he said.
"They are not going to stand off and let us play. We have to be prepared for that and move the ball quickly. We are not going to have time to put our foot on it because the tackles are going to be coming in thick and fast, that's for sure."
Bet365 make Tottenham 8/13 favourites to win the match, with Hearts available at 9/2. The draw is priced at 11/4. Spurs are 1/10 to qualify over the two legs, with their opponents offered at 11/2 to do the same.
Jermain Defoe and Rafael Van der Vaart are 9/2 joint-favourites to open the scoring, followed by Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko at 5/1.
