Bingo club to raise cancer funds
A Gala Bingo club is holding a benefit night for one of its longest-serving staff members.
Main stage caller Billy Czuba – who has worked at The Embassy Club in Harpurhey for 15 years – is currently battling terminal bone cancer. A fundraising evening is to take place at the club on Friday 12 August in order to show support for Billy and contribute to his lifelong dream of a helicopter ride.
Entry to the event will cost just £3 and tickets include a complimentary meal, games of bingo and other fundraising activities.
Gala Harpurhey general manager Stan Kennedy is organising the event and commented: “Billy has been one of the most popular staff members throughout the time he’s worked at Gala Harpurhey. It is only fitting that his friends and colleagues work together to give him a great night at the Embassy club and realise a lifetime dream of the helicopter ride. All funds raised will go directly to Billy, no costs will be deducted for any of the fundraising.”
