Leeds to meet Wigan in Challenge Cup final
Leeds Rhinos will face Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup final after both sides came through their respective semis.
Leeds saw off Castleford Tigers in extra-time of their last-four encounter, with a Kevin Sinfield sudden death penalty sealing a 10-8 win. Leeds had trailed 8-2 in the second half but fought back to book their 22nd Challenge Cup final appearance.
The other semi saw Wigan defeat St Helens 18-12, despite a late comeback by the Saints. The Warriors led 18-2 with 20 minutes remaining but that gap was closed thanks to two James Foster tries, but the Lancashire side held on to register the victory.
Bet365 make Wigan 3/10 favourites to defeat Leeds in the final and win the Challenge Cup, while the Rhinos are priced at 12/5 to claim an upset victory over the Warriors. The game will be played at Wembley on Saturday 27 August, kick off 2:30pm.
