Wesley Sneijder keeps options open over Manchester United transfer
Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has seemingly left the door open on a move to Manchester United this summer.
The Dutch international is reported to be a United target, despite claims to the contrary by Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Former Ajax man Sneijder – who is rated around the £35 million mark – did little to dispel the transfer talk when he said of a potential switch: “There is always a chance something will happen but we will see.”
The 27-year-old did however add that he was “happy” at Inter. "What is going to happen we will see, but I am a happy guy,” he said. “There is always speculation, every year. I have been at the highest level for 10 years and there is always speculation, but look, I am still here.”
Sky Bet are offering odds of 1/2 that Sneijder joins Manchester United before the end of the summer transfer window, with a switch to United’s local rivals Manchester City available at 7/2. A transfer to Chelsea is offered at 6/1, while Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are both listed at odds of 33/1 to pull off a surprise signing.
