QPR offer for DJ Campbell accepted
QPR have had a bid for Blackpool striker DJ Campbell accepted by the Championship club.
Premier League newcomers Rangers are now set to discuss personal terms with the former Brentford and Leicester forward, who scored 13 top flight goals for Holloway’s Tangerines last season, despite their eventual relegation.
The West London side have already signed Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd in this summer’s transfer window, as well as former West Ham men Kieron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon.
Sky Bet are offering odds of 1/2 that QPR manage to avoid relegation in the 2011/12 Premier League season, with a price of 6/4 available on the Hoops making an immediate return to the Championship.
Manager Neil Warnock is 4/6 with Victor Chandler to have left the Loftus Road club by the last day of the 2011/12 season, with 11/10 offered on the former Sheffield United boss remaining in his position past that time.
