Finnish Player in Poker Heaven after Bad Beat Bonus

A Finnish player has become the lucky recipient of poker’s largest-ever bad beat bonus after he saw his quad kings cracked by an opponent’s rivered quad aces in a cash game.

The player, known by the online handle “OmgoMgomGo”, collected a €442,000 payout for being the recipient of the brutal beat, while the rest of the table shared the remainder of the €1,265,583 jackpot.

Having only signed up to the site earlier this year after being enticed by their array of new sign-up offers, “OmgoMgomGo” could not believe his luck, saying: “WOW! I had KK and all the money went in pre-flop. Once I hit my quads and saw the second ace come on the river I was hoping that my opponent had hit their one outer!

“When I realised it had happened I was so happy, I still cannot believe it! The atmosphere at the table when it hit was great and I would like to thank all of the players and the Poker Heaven staff for their best wishes. As for what I am going to do with the cash, I am planning to buy a house, a car and will certainly be partying hard.”

Head of Poker at Poker Heaven, Colin McCreadie, spoke of his delight at seeing the Finnish player receive his payout, explaining that the jackpot was more satisfying as it had eclipsed the previous record of €830,000 by such a long way. With the jackpot now reset to €250,000, it can only be a matter of time before big money is hit again.
