Dalglish says Reds are force to be reckoned with
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish says his side are now a “bigger threat” to other clubs than they have been previously.
The former Scotland striker saw an upturn in form after taking over as Reds boss midway through last season and feels his team are capable of matching anyone in the league.
"We're good enough to put on a good performance against any team. We'll try our best to do that,” he said.
“What we do is going to get us a lot further than if we start worrying about everyone else that we'll play against. The most important thing for us is how other teams are looking at Liverpool. Other teams see Liverpool as a bigger threat."
Sky Bet are offering odds of 5/2 on Liverpool securing at least one major piece of silverware next season, with 2/7 available on the Reds failing to win a trophy. Coral see their best chance of honours coming in the Carling Cup, where a Liverpool success is priced at 9/1, while FA Cup or Premier League victories are available at 10/1.
Totesport are pricing an Anfield league and FA Cup double at 66/1, while a league and Carling Cup combination is offered at the same odds. A league, FA Cup and Carling Cup treble is available at 400/1.
