Picklive Cricket to debut at first test

Real-time fantasy football pioneers Picklive are expanding into the world of cricket.

Picklive Cricket is launching on Thursday for the England v Sri Lanka first test at Cardiff and will take its lead from the existing football product. Before the start of each day’s play competitors will pay a small entry fee for the right to pick five players who they think will perform well that day. Players can be from either side and will score points for completing positive actions throughout the day, while losing points for negative ones. For example, hitting a six will earn a player 12 points but being out for a duck will lose them 20.

The scores of the five selected players will be totalled up and a leaderboard formed based on the overall performance of each competitor’s five-man team. The table will be updated in real-time and those who finish in the top three will win a share of the overall pot.

Picklive Cricket is set to be available for test matches, one-day internationals and Twenty20 games.
