Aussie Lotto prize remains unclaimed
An Australian Lotto winner is yet to claim their $10 million prize.
The jackpot for Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw was won by a ticket bought in Sydney but the lucky ticket-holder in question has so far failed to come forward. The unregistered ticket was purchased from the Rose Bay South Newsagency in the city’s eastern suburbs. The winning player has a full six years to claim their prize and Lotto players are being encouraged to check the draw result on the NSW Lotteries website or at any NSW Lotteries agent.
This is about as much help as NSW lotteries can offer, with their spokeswoman Una O'Neill confirming: "As the owner of the winning ticket is not a member of NSW Lotteries Players Club, NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting them.”
Back in April 2010 a $30 million winner only realised they had won the money after being alerted by media appeals.
