Who is going to be a UK X-Factor judge?
It’s a question that has been on everyone’s lips since Simon Cowell announced he and Geordie judge Cheryl Cole won’t be returning to their judges seats in the UK while he takes the show stateside. It seems that the judging panel has still yet to be decided, despite it only being a matter of weeks before the first set of auditions will take place. It was also announced yesterday that Dannii Minogue will not be returning either, which means there are at least three seats to fill.
Louis Walsh could well be the only familiar face on the panel, as there are odds of 1/66 that he will be back this season. It is also fairly certain that Gary Barlow will replace Simon Cowell, therefore has only been given odds of 1/66 to be a judge. Tulisa Contostavlos (of N-Dubz fame) is also in talks to acts as Cheryl Cole’s replacement, and has odds of 1/25.
There are also slightly better odds to wager on, which include Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland replacing Dannii Minogue at 4/1, Sharon Osbourne at 2/1 and even Jessica Simpson at 5/1. Katy Perry left a lasting impression on fans and show producers when she guest judged last year, which is why she has been given odds of 8/1 to become a full member of the panel. More outside odds include Mel B and Celine Dion at 50/1 each, and Stacey Solomon at 80/1.
