Bet on what will ruin the Royal Wedding
As a nation, we seem to love it when things go a little bit wrong for other people – why else would we be so addicted to soaps? Bookies are taking this into account and have opened a rather pessimistic market, for things that may go wrong for the Royal Wedding.
Despite the police being out in full force for one of the biggest events the country has ever seen, there are still some unforeseeable circumstances which would occur on the big day. The police will be around to protect the wedding party and their guests, as protestors and extremists who ran riot in London last week threatened to target the wedding as their next move.
One thing that can’t be controlled however, is the weather, and Paddy Power are offering odds of1/2 that Prince William and Kate Middleton will have a dry wedding day, and odds of 6/4 that it will rain.
William Hill have odds of 100/1 that Prince William will be jilted at the altar
Other Royal Wedding bets include the year the couple will have their first child, with 2012 being the most popular at 5/4. 2012 is at 6/4, 2014 at 5/1, 2015 at 6/1 and 2016 or later at 9/2. Equal odds are being offered for the child’s gender.
