Bookies Favourite crowned Dancing on Ice winner
Ex-Eastender and bookies favourite Sam Attwater was crowned Dancing on Ice 2011 winner on Sunday night. Popular children’s TV presenter Laura Hamilton came a respectable second, whilst Richard and Judy’s daughter Chloe Madeley was eliminated first after achieving the lowest score of the evening.
24-year-old Attwater and professional skating partner Brianne Delcourt wowed the crowd, judges and the audience at home with their performances, which included their own rendition of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's 'Bolero'.
Trophy in hand, Attwater said o Delcourt: "I've had the time of my life. I've made a friend for life and I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for Brianne."
Reality TV bets have therefore once again come to a standstill, but punters can still bet on stateside competitions such as American Idol, which is getting more intense every week. Howeverm those wanting to restrict their betting to what goes on in Blighty can bet on Connie Huq’s replacement as the host of Xtra Factor. Dancing on Ice runner up Laura Hamilton has odds of 9/4 for being the new face of the show, whilst fellow-skater Jeff Brazier has odds of 5/2.
