Full Tilt launch Japan fund
Following the recent natural disasters in Japan, Full Tilt poker have announced a number of special tournaments to help raise funds for its Aid for Japan appeal.
There are two ways in which players can donate, with Full Tilt matching every contribution dollar for dollar.
Firstly, players can enter an Aid for Japan tournament, a series of which are running all this week until Sunday 27 March. In these events, the tournament fee will go into the fund.
The second way to donate is by buying into a donation tournament at 18:30 ET on Sunday 27 March. The buy-in goes straight to the fund and the tournaments are not actually played out.
A statement on the Full Tilt website reads: “Please join Full Tilt Poker in supporting the nation of Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake, tsunami and ensuing crisis. Millions of people have been affected by this catastrophe, and with your help we can provide some assistance to our friends in Japan.”
