Wolves man Jarvis gets first England call
Wolves winger Matt Jarvis has been handed his first ever England squad call-up. The 24-year-old, who had only previously been included in provisional national squads, could now make his debut in either this Saturday’s Euro qualifier against Wales or a friendly with Ghana on the 29th of this month. Should he feature in either game he will become the first Wolves player to play for England for over 20 years.
England currently sit second in Group G with seven points going into the Wales fixture, with their opponents rock bottom having lost all three of their qualifiers thus far. Bet365 make England 2/5 favourites to win the match, with the Welsh offered at 7/1. The draw is available at 29/10.
