Designer Unveils the World’s Most Expensive Poker Set
Jewellery designer Geoffrey Parker has recently unveiled his latest creation – and let’s just say that it is one that only the true blue chip members of society will have any chance of being able to afford.
Parker’s master work is being touted as the world’s most expensive chip set and is currently being sold online for a staggering $7.5 million by a British games maker, according to Antwerp Facets Online.
The custom-made poker set reportedly includes a deck of platinum-plated cards along with a set of chips comprised of a medley of precious stones – 23,000 weighing in at 1,012ct if rumours are to be believed – all set in white gold.
Of course, such a prestigious poker item couldn’t simply be contained in your run-of-the-mill aluminium case, so Parker has completed the set with storage to match by way of an alligator skin container lined with18k gold and diamond.
Despite the staggering price tag and absurdly precious composition, orders for Parker’s creation are reportedly being made by wealthy poker enthusiasts across the globe, meaning that more sets may yet be commissioned. All we can say is that it would make for one hell of a home game.
