Champions League betting: Spurs slashed after San Siro success
Tottenham have been cut to 16/1 to win the Champions League following last night’s defeat of AC Milan.
Harry Redknapp’s men secured an excellent 1-0 first-leg victory away at the San Siro to put them in prime position to make it through to the next round, leading bookmakers William Hill to cut the odds on the Londoners winning the overall competition from 20/1 to 16/1. Spurs are 1/4 to make it past Milan and into the next round.
The White Hart Lane side are now 10/3 to be the Premier League side to go furthest in this year’s tournament, behind Chelsea at 11/8 and Man Utd at 2/1. Arsenal, who face Spanish giants Barcelona tonight in the first leg of their tie, are offered at 6/1.
The odds on Redknapp becoming the next England boss have also been cut, with 5/2 now available on Harry becoming Fabio Capello’s successor, in from 3/1.
