Channel 4 will broadcast Pokerstars UKIPT, EPT and PCA Events throughout 2011
15/2/2011

Programmes have already begun airing on Channel 4 and will now be screened from around midnight every Tuesday until December 27th. Additionally, April to June will see coverage extend to Monday nights, adding up to around 70 hours of Pokerstars programming on Channel 4.
The UKIPT, the UK’s biggest poker tour, began airing last week February 8th with highlight of last year’s Champion of Champions event in London. They will then show the various other legs of the tour, ending with the Grand Final in London. Winner of 2010 EPT San Remo, Liv Boeree will provide expert analysis and Nick Wealthall will guide viewers through the tournament with his trademark light-hearted musings.
Both Wealthall and Boeree will also be on the lookout for local heroes and satellites for the UKIPT are running now on Pokerstars.com. In addition, a new segment of the programme, called ‘Play the Pro’, will see one online qualifier, plus friends, win the chance to play a top poker pro or sporting celebrity at their home.
The coverage that Channel 4 screens will be extended to Monday nights to accommodate the EPT season 7 highlights from Barcelona. When the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure starts, this will be the headline act on a Monday with extensive coverage until June, so it will be hard to miss the action for that $15million prize pool. When that finishes, EPT coverage returns until the London climax of the Event in December.
Every episode will also be available on 4od.
