Roberts Wish Charity Poker Tournament

Poker player Bob Clements is just 29 years old, but, the cancer that has claimed his body means that his life is drawing to a close. He has selflessly asked doctors to stop their attempts at saving him so that other patients are guaranteed the attention they need in his final months.

Bob, from Birmingham, has decided that he is devoting the last chapter in his life to raising funds for St Mary’s Hospice in Selly Park. Bob wants to help other people and leave a legacy of hope before he goes, “This project keeps my mind focused and the more that can be raised, the more people can be helped.”

Now, the sport that he loves is returning the favour by organising an online tournament whose proceeds are being donated to Bob’s charity.

Genting poker has set up the tournament, entitled ‘Robert’s wish’, which can be found in the poker lobby on Sunday February 21st at 8pm.

Numerous prizes are there to be won, including a seat at the regular Palm Beach Big Game (usually £1000 + £80) on Monday March 7th. Also donated to the prize pool by www.grinderschool.com are 9 x one month full memberships to their site.
