Hughton front-runner in West Brom boss betting
Former Newcastle boss Chris Hughton is favourite to become the next West Brom manager.
The former Irish international – who took the Magpies back into the Premier League just ahead of the second-placed Baggies last season – is the 9/4 favourite with Bet365 to get the job following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo last week. Hughton was controversially dismissed from the Toon hot seat earlier this season.
Next in the betting are former Spurs chief Martin Jol and current St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes, both at 5/1, followed by former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson at 6/1. Albion first-team coach and current caretaker manager Michael Appleton follows at 13/2 and recently departed Wolfsburg manager Steve McLaren is offered at 9/1.
Other notables include former Bolton and Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce at 12/1, current Norwich chief Paul Lambert at 28/1, former Ipswich head Roy Keane at 50/1 and Blackpool’s Ian Holloway at 66/1.
