Six Nations betting preview: Wales v England
England take on Wales at the Millennium Stadium tonight in the opening game of the 2011 Six Nations.
England are favourites to win both the match and the overall tournament following some good performances last Autumn, while Warren Gatland’s Wales have not won in their last seven internationals. England will be without injured captain Lewis Moody but do hand a debut to flanker Tom Wood, while Wales are missing Leigh Halfpenny, Adam Jones and Gethin Jenkins.
Martin Johnson’s men have not beaten Wales in Cardiff since 2003 but are 8/15 favourites with Bet365 to claim the victory, with the Welsh priced at 13/8. The draw is offered at 18/1. England’s Chris Ashton is the 15/2 favourite to score the first try and 6/4 to touch down at anytime in the game, while Wales’s Shane Williams is 9/1 for the first try and 2/1 for an anytime score.
The game kicks off at 7.45pm and is live on BBC One.
