Retired Gary Neville backed to replace Gray at Sky
Gary Neville is now as short as 3/1 to replace Andy Gray at Sky following his retirement from football.
The 35-year-old Manchester United full-back has ended his competitive career and a move into the media could well be on the cards, with Victor Chandler cutting the odds on the former England man becoming a Sky Sports pundit to 3/1.
There is a vacancy to fill following Gray’s recent departure from Sky following allegations of sexist behaviour and Neville’s retirement could come at the perfect time for him to fill the position. Jamie Redknapp is currently the 8/11 favourite.
Neville, who made 602 appearances for United and 85 for England, said of his retirement: “I have been a Manchester United fan all my life and fulfilled every dream I've ever had. I am disappointed that my playing days are at an end. However, it comes to us all and it's knowing when that time is and for me that time is now."
