Nevada Considering the Online Gaming Market
With the push for online gambling regulation in America increasing the latest state to show an interest in legalization is the country’s gambling capital, Nevada. While the state hasn’t explicitly stated that it wants to push for online gambling regulation, the Nevada Gaming Control Board has announced that they are going to be working alongside the Alderney Gambling Control Commission in an effort to better understand the industry. The move should help both parties in brining a fair and legal online gambling system to the US. The partnership could be taken to a more formal level, with the Commission giving an overarching role in the regulation of online games to Nevada’s citizens if bill was to be past.
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission currently regulates gambling in the British Channel Islands and it is this expertise that the Nevada Gaming Control Board will look to exploit. Commenting on the situation, Mark Lipparelli, Chairman of the Gaming Control Board, said: "There is no question that the Internet gaming world is moving quickly and at a good speed toward Nevada. We've realized that it is important for Nevada to form these alliances. We need to look at the places that have been regulating Internet gaming and engage these regulators."
