Women’s Poker League returns to PokerStars
Due to its high success last year, the PokerStars Women’s Poker League is set to return this month; the online poker site aims to be the number one go-to site for women’s poker, which is why they are launching the new 2011 season on 7 February.
Instead of offering intense, high-rolling tournaments, the competition aims to help women learn the ins and outs of the game in a friendly environment, with low buy-ins and freerolls. But there is still an element of competition involved, as there is also a chance to win a PokerStars Women’s Live Event package at the end of the year.
The new season begins on Monday 7 February, with two tournaments running each day. There are both $0.10 and $1.10 buy-in levels, with the $0.10 events running at 1 pm and 8 pm Eastern time, and the $1.10 ones at 2 pm and 9 pm Eastern time.
The league offers monthly and yearly cash prizes, and the winner of both leagues at the end of the year will win a PokerStars Women Live Event package which is worth up to $4,000 – so there is still all to play for.
