FA Cup fifth round betting preview

31/1/2011
Crawley Town will travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the pick of the FA Cup fifth round ties.

The Conference side are the lowest-ranked team left in this year’s competition and will head north to face the Premier League leaders with few giving them any sort of chance. Indeed, bookmakers William Hill are offering odds of 13/8 that Sir Alex Ferguson’s men score six or more goals in the match, while non-league Crawley are 10/3 to score and 16/1 to keep a clean sheet.

Another tie of interest sees Leyton Orient host Arsenal, the League One side having defeated Championship opponents in the form of Norwich and Swansea to reach this stage of the competition. Elsewhere, Reading will travel to either Everton or Chelsea and the winner of the Notts County v Man City replay will host Aston Villa.

Bet365 make Man Utd the 9/4 favourites to win the competition, with Arsenal priced at 7/2 and Chelsea available at 9/2. Orient are offered at 500/1 and Crawley are the 1000/1 outsiders.

FA Cup fifth round draw:

West Ham v Burnley
Notts County/Manchester City v Aston Villa
Stoke City v Brighton
Birmingham City v Sheffield Wednesday
Leyton Orient v Arsenal
Everton/Chelsea v Reading
Manchester United v Crawley Town
Fulham/Tottenham v Bolton/Wigan
